Main Responsibilities– 70%
1. Assist Legal & Collection Department in managing delinquent loan portfolio;2. In collaboration with responsible Branch Manager, Loan Officers and CTLs visit borrowers in arrears and pursue loan repayments;3. Follow recovery actions on loans in arrears in accordance with the existing Credit Policy, Credit procedure and other rules and regulations; 4. Engage with borrowers using a variety of means to obtain information which can be used in the debt recovery process;5. Engage with borrowers and reach a realistic and affordable repayment plan;6. Execute the loan recovery policies and procedures on assigned portfolio;7. Take ownership of assigned delinquent portfolio; 8. Follow up on defaulting clients on previous payment arrangement;9. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of defaulting clients with actions taken and the next course of actions;10. Negotiate repayment terms with defaulting clients;11. Investigate and thoroughly understand borrowers’ challenges and proffer solutions for resolving such delinquent loans;12. Reducing the non-performing loans owed to a company;13. Maintaining accurate, up-to-date customer account information;When necessary liaising with solicitors and bailiffs.
Reporting – 20%
1. Provide weekly report on number of borrowers visited and activities performed;2. Reporting daily progress against targets to the Branch Manager;3. Provide information on loan repayments received from loans in arrears;4. Submit reports to the Head of Legal & Collection Department that summarizes activities and observations and compare actual tasks performed with the work plan for that month;5. Submit monthly reports that summarize all observations from the month and any issues or topics that need the Management’s attention;6. Submit reports to the the Head of Legal & Collection Department that includes all observations from the control and issues or topics that need the Head of Legal & Collection Department of attention.7. Timely reporting on every performed check using the standard form;8. Involvement in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly planning of the field check;Involvement in preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
Administrative Responsibilities – 10%
1. Perform administrative work or other job functions related to recoveries.2. Complete other control activities as assigned by the i Head of Legal & Collection Department in accordance with work plan;3. Conduct supervision of fulfilment of policies and procedures of the company in compliance with current directives, orders, etc.;Organize reports systematic storage, in the according to the companies requirements.
Qualification and Experience
1. At least three years’ experience in MFI.2. Experience in loan recovery in MFI.3. Assertive and strong Negotiation skill.4. Excellent communication, reporting & interpersonal skills;5. Good judgment and decision making.6. The ability to work as part of a team7. Attention to details and accuracy8. 6. Microsoft Word and Excel skill
